Cherries - the properties of the fruit and the cuff that I supports

Cherries are the fruit of a tree belonging to the family Rosaceae that we all know by the name of cherry (Prunus avium); the tree of the cherries is present in the Mediterranean area by about 3,000 years, the first news about it coming from Egypt. Difficult to establish with certainty the country of origin even if you think that most likely the cherry tree comes from Asia.
The cherry blossoms in spring simultaneously with the appearance of the leaves and its appearance, in full bloom, it is something enchanting to behold. Cherries are divided into two distinct species: sweet and sour. Sweet cherries are divided in turn into two subfamilies that are respectively duracine and Tenerina; rather than sour divide into three subfamilies, which are the cherries, sour cherries and sour cherries.
The vesting period varies depending on the type of cherry but we can say that almost all mature in the period between May and June.
Cherries are composed of 80% of water, sugars, proteins (small percentage), vitamins A and C, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, iron, sodium, and magnesium. To highlight the presence of fructose, a sugar that has no contraindications for diabetics who can then take the opportunity to eat something sweet and healthy. Finally we emphasize the presence of flavonoids, which, as we know, are substances that are very useful in the fight against "dangerous" free radicals and especially play a major role in the process that slows down the aging of cells in the body. Regarding the calories, per 100 grams of pulp we have about 63.
The fresh cherry has purifying and detoxifying, diuretic and laxative in addition to those that make the cherry fruit very useful in case of swelling in the abdomen. Thanks to the presence of flavonoids, in combination with vitamins A and C, the assumption of cherries stimulates collagen production, thereby making countless benefits to our skin. To underline the presence of malic acid, which, with its properties, is able to facilitate the digestion of sugars and the hepatic activity. In recent times, cherries have been the subject of study by the University of Texas, as it is believed to have properties that help promote sleep; it seems that melatonin present in cherries in good quantity, has precisely this property.
Finally we reiterate the important benefits that consumption of cherries brings to the heart and circulatory system in general; has in fact been confirmed, on the basis of experiments on mice held in Michigan (USA), that their consumption would greatly reduce the percentage of cholesterol in the body due to the presence of antioxidants.
